Finding Your Own Words of Wisdom

Many people start their day by reading words of wisdom or a daily inspiration from someone famous. Truly successful people often start their day that way, but they also count their blessings and review their goals, both short and long-term. Counting their blessings keeps them grateful. Reviewing their goals and counting their daily small successes keeps them motivated.

"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily." That's a quote from Zig Ziglar, a popular motivational speaker and author of many words of spiritual encouragement. Do you understand what he is saying?

In order to stay motivated, you need to make it a part of your daily routine, just like taking a bath.

Many of the words of wisdom from great, courageous and successful people echo the idea that the power of the mind is great. For example, Thoreau said that if we live our "beliefs", we can "turn the world around". How strong the mind must be if we can make our beliefs into reality.

If you need daily inspiration, all you need to do is look at something great that a single person has accomplished. It likely took them many steps to accomplish their long-term goal, but is all started with an idea. They turned that idea into a reality by taking many small steps and those were their short-term goals. There may have been some obstacles to overcome, but they never gave up.

Words of spiritual encouragement sometimes come from unexpected places. Your children may be a source of daily inspiration if you take the time to listen to them. Their view of the world has yet to become jaded. They are full of joy and positive thoughts.

Whether you have kids or not, if you listen to your inner voice, you may find that it is trying to provide words of spiritual encouragement. The voice may be telling you not to give up or to slow down and relax. We all have words of wisdom to keep ourselves going. Sometimes, we simply need to let our positive inner voices be heard.

Reading passages from "The Secret" has been a source of daily inspiration for me for several years now. Not only does it provide words of spiritual encouragement, but also it has allowed me to listen to my own words of wisdom. Anything that you want today can be yours. All that you need to do is ask for it.
