The use of outsourcing as a method to gain the support your online business needs has gained lots of notoriety in recent months. While many Internet marketers have used outsourcing for years, the word is finally out. Yet there seem to be as many descriptions of how outsourcing can work for you as there are people writing about it. For example many will tell you that locating and contracting with resources is very quick and easy. Some would lead you to believe you will have all the resources you could ever need in a matter of a few days. Unfortunately that description is the exception, not the rule. For more information on this subject, read on. In this article I present finding the right outsource support takes time and effort.

There are a variety of methods for locating contractors to help with your business. You can place ads in local newspapers or on Craigslist.com. You can register and use a site designed to match contractors to your needs. Or possibly you can join a membership site created for entrepreneurs who wish to learn about and use outsourcing in their business. Each of these methods provides unique value to you. However the bottom line is whatever method you and other Internet marketers use to obtain this support there is time required before the perfect contractor will be found.

Once you have decided on a path to follow in starting your outsource efforts, then post your specific support needs. Remember to be very specific about the support you need. Describe the skills and competencies you seek. Thoroughly describe what you want delivered to you. If there are intermediate steps call them out. This is your time to clearly tell the world what you need.

In most cases a well written description with fair compensation attached will draw many responses. Plan to review many, many cover letters and resumes. In some cases there will only be a cover letter and you will need to make contact to request a resume. Reviewing letters and resumes and soliciting follow-up resumes will take considerable time. If you need samples of work be sure to ask prospects as soon as possible, as this is one more potential delay on the process.

Expect some of the cover letters and resumes to be lacking. There will be missing information. If the contractor appears qualified, you will have another round of communications to clarify the details. Once you have narrowed down to the most qualified contractors you will need to follow up to verify your best-fit resources are still interested and available. This communication can add a few more days to the process.

There will be a few contractors who were just applying to obtain more information. Others will have changed their mind. Finally there will be those who have received other outsource contract offers while waiting. But there will be a few who fit your needs and are still available and interested. In the meantime your Internet marketing business sits waiting. As all Internet marketers know, this down time costs money!
After interviews and/or other discussions you finally have your contractor. A little more negotiating and the project start date is defined. Finally you are on your way.

In the long run outsourcing is a great way to build your Internet marketing business. It takes time, effort and patience to put all the pieces together. In the final analysis most Internet marketers will find the use of outsource resources to be worth all the effort.

To your outsourcing success!
