Living with eczema can make your daily life tougher. Swollen red patches on your skin, and pimple like blisters can affect your day-to-day life. Not only does the skins appearance make you feel uncomfortable, it can also lead to embarrassment. I spent way too much time trying to figure out what to cover my outbreaks with. It's no fun wearing long sleeves in the middle of summer.
Trying to sleep with an eczema outbreak can also be very difficult. The constant urge to scratch makes sleep very difficult to come by. Below are some fast acting, and very effective home remedies for eczema.
When dealing with eczema it is important to work moisturizing into your daily routine. You will need to moisturize your skin at least twice a day. Dry skin is naturally itchy and will cause your eczema to become irritated. Before using moisturizer check the ingredients and make sure there are no added chemicals or alcohol. Both of these will cause further irritation. Remember to stay hydrated as well. Try to drink close to eight glasses of water a day. This will keep your skin healthy and better prepared to fight off your eczema.
The next eczema home remedy involves a juicer. If you don't have one you can substitute a supplement. I would recommend getting a juicer at some point. They're inexpensive and save you a lot of money over store-bought juice. If you have a juicer, try a blend of wheat grass, celery, carrots, and parsley. This blend contains vitamins and minerals that are important for your skin. Take a daily multivitamin supplement. This will take care of any of the vitamins you miss in your diet.
If your skin is very itchy and you need some relief this next remedy could help you. Take a warm bath with oatmeal in the water. Just sit back and relax, don't scrub or scratch. Let your body absorb the moisture. You will feel better afterwards.
This last remedy can be a little tough to swallow, literally. Mix a 1/2 teaspoon turmeric in a cup of water. While not very tasty by itself turmeric is a blood cleanser and can provide you some relief from eczema.
The four home remedies for eczema above should help provide you some relief in your day-to-day struggle. It can be difficult to live with but with the proper treatment your will get better. For more information on eczema relief please visit the links below.
