Clubs in London

I am often asked where to go when planning a night of London clubbing. London clubs are vast and varied, come in all shapes and sizes, and are regularly opening and closing so it is important to be close to the ground when it comes to choosing London clubs. There have been many famous and pioneering clubs that have shut down like The Cross, The End and Marque Club that have been replaced by a new breed of smaller but specialised and intimate affairs that are capable of delivering a diverse night every night of the week.
Clubs in London, in my opinion, offer up the best selection and choice of music and experience anywhere in the world. You can get a taste of Berlin, minimal, dirty and underground in somewhere like T Bar or you can get the Latino energy mixed with Parisian style at Favela Chic in Shoreditch. There really is something for everybody when it comes to clubs in London.

I think it is useful to classify clubs in London into certain categories. I will start off with the new wave of pub clubs. These are basically old pubs that have been modernised and upgraded to function as a pub during the day but then are transformed into a club like atmosphere with DJ at night which serves up an intimate but almost house party like vibe. Places like Paradise, The Westbury, Rest Is Noise and The Queens Head represent this category.

Next up is the Boutique club. These clubs have been designed to offer the sophisticated clubbing experience, offer chic and exclusive environments but provide the big club sound and the dance floor to let yourself loose once you have built up the courage to dance in your suit. These clubs mainly centre around the West End and Mayfair and are sometimes difficult to gain entry. Some of the recommended boutique London clubs include Movida , Boujis, No 5 Cavendish Square and China Whites. Expect the rich, beautiful, fake and football hunting WAGS!

If that is all too pretentious for you then I would suggest a party club in London that should provide more of a friendly and fun atmosphere for you. There are heaps of clubs in London offering up the party experience and these often have " target="_self" title="Cheap drinks in London"> drinkonomical prices so the bonus of cheap drinks! How about Club Aquarium in Old Street that boasts a swimming pool and pop music, an enticing combination! Or for the ultimate cheese and pop classics, let your hair down at the biggest disco in town at Infernos. This feels like you are stepping back to the 70s for the ultimate disco experience.

My final category of clubs in London is the Super Club. We are talking huge dance floors, the biggest sound systems, the best DJs and opening times that will keep you going until the sun comes up. London has made its name in clubbing through these super clubs and there are still a few around for you to sample. Super clubs in London include Ministry of Sound, the ultimate clubbing experience, Fabric, for the best in underground dance music and Egg, for pure hedonistic Ibiza vibes and sounds.
