MBA, Masters in Business Administration is in itself a benchmark for students. Not only students but parents also want their children to be an MBA these days. MBA Degree holders are certainly said to be the cream of the society and if the degree is from institutes like IIM, it adds a cherry on to it.

If we see around, there are many local institutes providing distance learning courses for MBA, affiliated to ‘n' no. of universities. But popular and well- recognized institutes like IIMs want their students to clear CAT examination, on the basis of which they are given admissions in respective institutes.

With time, Common Admission Test, commonly known as CAT, has become one of the most competitive entrance exams in India. Students spend years for preparing and clearing the CAT examination. It has become a dream for students and very soon this dream would come true for many with the countdown starting for CAT 2009 Results. Though the pattern for CAT examination changes every year, the basic criterion followed is:
1.) Maths-50 marks
2.) Data Interpretation - 35 marks
3.) English - 50 marks
4.) Reading Comprehension - 50 marks
Good communication skills and ability to present yourself well are the factors which fight for you in the group discussions. Group discussion round comes, once you are through with your entrance. It is in a sense a credential that you are capable of holding this significant degree. These discussions check your general awareness and your power to communicate.

After the group discussion comes the time to face your fate deciders, the interview time. This is the last phase which leads towards your dream destination i.e. entrance in a certified IIM college for persuing your MBA degree.

Also, with the examination going online from CAT 2009, it has become much easier for students to perform as these days students are more internet savvy and their familiarity with the same has helped them become more comfortable with the examination set-up and has reduced their anxious approach towards the exam. An add-on to the online test is that the CAT results 2009 will be more transparent and error proof. The success of this online process can only be celebrated once the CAT results are out.
