A man who was involved in a tragic car accident which left him paraplegic has started court proceedings for a claim of £6 million.

The 19 year old Darin Wood is launching lawsuit against his insurance company as well as another claim against his friend for dangerous driving.

He says that his friend Jeffery Starling was driving without due care when the accident happened, hurling the car into the air causing it to flip over three times, throwing Mr Wood into the air.

In the lawsuits filed April 29, Wood claims he is entitled to compensation from the AMA, Wood's insurance company and the allegedly negligent driver for all damages arising from the violent collision.

Despite undergoing months of intensive physiotherapy, Mr Wood has been told that he will never walk again. It is a devastating diagnosis for the active 19 year old.

He has gone from a healthy independent individual to a young man who needs 24 hour care, is in constant pain and expects to remain this way for the rest of his life.

His lawyer stated that they are suing for a large amount due to the young age at which Mr Wood received his injuries meaning he will miss out on a lifetime of earnings, not to mention experiences.
