We all dream, in one way or another, of living life on our own terms. The people that do have the immense freedom of living life on their own terms have one key difference from those who do not, and it is pretty fundamental. They all followed their dreams and took consistent and persistent action! One key trait the successful have is a degree of stubbornness and not listening to the negativity around them from friends,family,co-workers and the media. They simply do not allow anything to get in the way of their desired outcome.
Working in a job for many is simply a way to survive -and certainly not to thrive! However, it is not surprising so many people decide doing a dead-end job is the best strategy as that is what we are all conditioned to do at school - "pay attention, study hard and you will get a good job" - never mind if it is actually fulfilling or not. The current economic environment worldwide has highlighted, once again, that trading time for money is not the best strategy.
The first step towards achieving your dreams is simply to decide to do so. The path to your dreams will be hard at times - and it is in those times you need to remind yourself of why you are doing this. That might be for your family to have better holidays, more time freedom for you or being able to help others to suggest a few. The path can be significantly shortened if you find other people or groups who have already become successful and ask them for advice and guidance.
We have dreams for a reason - follow them - and you may well be very surprised the journey it takes you on.
