Cheap Dental work in a Great Travel Destination!
Tourists are waking up to the wealth of medical talent available across Europe, with destinations such as Hungary becoming increasingly popular for tourists seeking high-quality cosmetic work at a reasonable price.
Many will already be aware of the cheap cosmetic work and plastic surgery available in other countries, such as Brazil and Thailand for face and body work and Mexico for dental care.
However, dental tourists are increasingly taking themselves off to Budapest hostels to renovate and realign their knashers as Hungary's renown grows.
Word-of-mouth reputation
German and Austrian tourists have long-been aware of Hungary's dental expertise, which has given rise to a considerable expansion in private dental practice, reports Treatment Abroad.
Budapest hostels in particular have become inundated with visitors, recognised alongside other leading dentistry cities across the globe such as Los Angeles.
Qualifications
Dentists in Hungary are not only recognised via international dental accreditations and international dental organisation membership. Tourists also gain reassurance from the fact that Hungary's dental education is one of the most vigorous on the continent.
Dental specialists such as Maxillofacial Surgeons must first join general dental practitioners on a five year university stint prior to embarking on no less than two or three years of additional training to gain their specialist credentials.
However the Treatment Abroad website recommends that tourists check specific details at surgeries to ensure they are getting only the best. A leading dentist should have around 14 years experience, with a success rate exceeding 97 per cent.
Costs
Dental tourists can minimise costs by staying in one of the many comfortable Budapest hostels, although it is advisable to take a prolonged stay so that any problems can be rectified while still in the country.
There will be little worse than having to pay for expensive corrections in your own country or taking the painful flight back to Hungary to see the same practitioner at a later date.
As far as the actual cost of treatment is concerned, tourists can expect to pay around 38 for an extraction, while porcelain veneers can cost an estimated €226.
