Elixir Body Care – The Story The concerns with toxicity in skin care and the problems associated with ingredients are anything but new. In Roman times and Elizabethan England facial cream made with lead was used regularly, in fact, there are stories told that Queen Elizabeth used lead cream to fill the cavities in her skin caused by the over use of other highly toxic cosmetic products. They can be forgiven their ignorance, they had no way of knowing the products they were using were toxic. Today we have the knowledge. Ignorance is no excuse. Yet toxic chemicals are still being used prevalently in many well known skin care formulas. Society appears to have chosen to elevate vanity above health concerns and morality. Stem cells from aborted, sometimes stolen foetuses are even being injected into the skin of our youth obsessed society. It was from anger and concern about these practices that the concept of Elixir Body Care evolved. My forays into skin care thus began two years ago. Eighteen of those months were spent on research and development alone. Due to some experiments that failed on a grand scale, my associates affectionately knew me as The Mad Scientist. I spent several months developing formulas. After much frustration, hair pulling, microbiological testing and countless batches of thick and glutinous product finding its way into the bin, a totally natural, lightweight, effective, self-preserving formula was perfected. I knew then that I was onto something revolutionary. Elixir Body Care was born!
