Have you been thinking about getting your
Windows 2008 training but don't know how to fit it in with your current schedule at work and personal responsibilities? This is a concern of many people, but when you work in the IT industry you need to make time to continue your education and continue to be certified or you'll be as obsolete as last year's computers. While you may think that you need to find an unlimited number of hours to spend in a classroom to get your training and certification, this is not necessarily the case. You have a lot of options today to get the training and certifications that you need to go as far as you would like with your IT career.
Your first option is to get your training from a local university or community college. If you learn best in the classroom you'll definitely find that there is the option to sit in a physical building and take the classes in front of an instructor. The nice thing about this is that you can ask questions, put your hands on equipment, and seek more help if you need it. Some people learn better this way, but this is not your only option today.
Another option, which is not available to all people but is becoming increasingly common, is to get your Windows training through your employer. Many corporations are finding it in their best interest to offer the training to their employees so there is a standardized training program that will give their employees all of the tools needed to be a success in the IT field. Of course, this will usually be a budget friendly option because the employer will pay for part or all of the training. Most of the time if you take such a training program through your employer you'll get the training on the clock, so you'll be paid for furthering your education, which you just cannot beat.
If sitting in a classroom a couple days a week for a few hours doesn't sound like a good idea and your employer doesn't offer a training program you can always take computer based training. These training programs are offered from a variety of sources for varying fees, some of which are free short of certification. With this option you will need to watch
Windows 2008 training videos and you'll be given all of your course information via your computer. You needn't leave your home, drive to a school, or sit in a classroom. You can just kick back in your own home, log onto your computer when it is convenient for you. If you have a job and a family you can work early in the morning, at lunch, or in the middle of the night to get your training. For a growing number of people this is simply the best way to continue their education.
