Many of us use links in our day to day business of running websites, using affiliate links, using banner etc on our web page.

But how many of us are in control of those links? that appear on our page.

Taking affiliate links for instance, many people will steal your small profit you make from promoting other peoples affiliates links, they see the link, and restructure it so it is there own link.

Or will chop of the affiliate portion of the link and go straight to the web page concerned, you just lost your affiliate payment.

How do you stop this?

By cloaking or hiding your affiliate link, there are lots of ways to do this some easy and some difficult, but what you really want to achieve is something like this,

I want to promote my affiliate link to Turbo Membership.com and I want to hide or cloak my link.

I personally use Instant Affiliate Link Master

This small programme will hide your affiliate links for you.

There can be some variation in how you cloak your links it all depends on where you actually put your links once they have been made for you.

so for instance my link to my Turbo Membership site is
http://www.webincome.uk.com/recommends/turbo-membership.htm

If you cut and paste this link you will see it shows the affiliate page, but if you look at the top of your browser you will see it only shows my webincome redirection page url
NOT my affiliate page URL.

If you view the source page you will see 99% of the code is hidden, you can dig in and find bits, but most link thieves are lazy.
they will not bother to dig to deep.

So how does this work?
I will try and give you an outline.
You open the programme, Instant Affiliate Link Master, it asks you for your page title and you affiliate link url, you hit the button and it builds a redirection page for you with all your links encoded.

Now it depends on what your links want to look like, take the turbo membership as an example, I put all my affiliate link pages in one directory, IE my directory is recommends

I end up with this
http://www.webincome.uk.com/recommends/turbo-membership.htm

The variables are
1. the name of the directory you save the link page in

2. the name of the page you save it under

I could change my turbo membership to something like

http://www.webincome.uk.com/Ianrecommendsyoutakealookatturbomembership.htm

or you can make it shorter.
I have a url that is short IE http://www.info-4u.info
so I could have
http://www.info-4u.info/turbo.htm
or http://ww.info-4u.info/check-this-out-now/turbo-membership.htm

I think you get the picture by now, In all cases the url would always go to the same affiliate page.

As for the links you may use in banners, or you may use in viral ebooks, the following explanation may help you.

You spend some time placing the banners and their corresponding links and or distributing the viral ebook with your links in them.

But if you use a static link
http://www.webincome.uk.com/?affiliatelink=1235?
or the click bank links where it something like http://earnhere2.surveys2.hop.clickbank.net

or perhaps you are using a url shorting service like

http://www.tinyurl.com, these work great but
thats it your link is stuck there, you can not change it.

If you have control of your links, this can be for anything remember,

then you can change where your link goes to, you are in control,

so if I want my link to change, I use Instant affiliate link master to build a new link to point to a new url,
I overwrite my redirection page at http://www.webincome.uk.com/recommends/turbo-membership.htm
and now all my links I posted on the web or in Ebooks to that url now get redirected to my new page.

Can you see the power in this?

You are in control of your links not just hidding your affiliate links from thieves.
