Just outside of Atlantic City, the Absecon Lighthouse is the third tallest lighthouse in the United States and the tallest lighthouse in New Jersey. Built 1857, the lighthouse features a custom First-Order Fresnel lens made in Paris. The lighthouse underwent renovations in 1997 and reopened to the public in 1999.

Visitors can climb the stairs to the top of the lighthouse to experience panoramic views of the skyline and shore. The tour includes tidewater and shipwreck exhibits, photos and memorabilia from the 1800s, and the "Lighthouse Illumination" video presentation.
