Currently the Sony HDR-TG7VE is the world's smallest full 1080 high definition camcorder. Not only is it great to look at but it performs great also.
An tiny camcorder with a durable titanium body offers an improved grip and but also a tough, scratch resistant finish all weighing just 230g. Simply pull out the 2.7" LCD screen and you are able to begin recording full high definition video footage.
The LCD screen also acts as a touch screen giving you easy access to the TG7's menu systems. There are a range of innovative auto functions including Face Detection and Smile Shutter to help you get the most from the TG7 with very little effort.
Sony is the first camcorder manufacturer to introduce a GPS tracking system into a range of their video cameras including the HDR-TG7. What this means for you is that you can see the exact location where the footage was taken when you review them.
The TG7 has 16GB of internal flash memory giving you up to 6 hours of HD video recording time. You can also add extra memory stick media to increase this recording time further. Also the TG7 weighs less when compared to camcorders complete with HDDs.
A Full HD recording has 5 times the detail available when yopu compare it to standard definition footage. This has been coupled with x.v.Colour which will use almost double the range of colours that can be reproduced on screen for a more natural looking picture.
The TG7 uses a Vario-Tessar lens which is manufactured by the world renowned Carl Zeiss. On top of this there is a 10 times optical zoom available letting you get closer to your subjects.
The D-range Optimiser will adjust the exposure and contrast correctly to get the best of every situation. The Face Detection function helps to keep peoples faces visible in these hard to film situations so you can always see them.
After the lens the light is transformed to a digital signal by an Exmor CMOIS sensor which offers twice the sensitivity when compared to some other camcorder sensors. This makes it ideal for shooting in low light conditions when traditionally pictures can come out grainy.
The HDR-TG7VE can also take still photos as well. You can also take 2.3 megapixel photos at the same time as filming.
Look back at your recordings has never been easier. You can select to view all of the footage and photos you took at a particular location by selecting it's location on the map. You can also search for all the scenes that include a particular face using the Face Index function. With this software you can choose to burn your video to disc, upload it to the web or email it to friend and family for them to enjoy.
