When you double your income, you double your success. The key to success is knowledge. Anytime you double something, you've got success. When I had my first kid, I decided to have another. I doubled my happiness. You, too, can double your income. Life works like this in so many ways.
Since the beginning of human civilization, knowledge has grown at a controllable rate. As our race made strides in technology, the amount of knowledge we had started to gain momentum. By the 20th century, especially from 1950-1980, the information age increased eightfold. By the 21st century, knowledge went off the scale.
Think about what you were learning in kindergarten compared to what your children learn now. When I was in school, the technology simply wasn't there like it is today. Now, my own daughter knows how to work a mouse, change the font and design within a Word program, and play video games. She's in preschool, and no, she's not a prodigy.
The age of knowledge has arrived. If you want to double your income, you need to challenge yourself and continue to grow in wealth of knowledge. Some of the best ways to increase your knowledge include:
• Business - Learn a new software program. Try to continue your education. Take a new course in something you always wanted to learn even if it is unrelated to your current career field. Always move towards what you love, and you will reap the benefits of success.
• Personal - Try learning a new interpersonal relationship skill. Work on communication. If you feel angry or depressed, learn a new skill to deal with it. Read a self-help book or see a counselor.
Find reading materials in the nonfiction section. This could be anything from car repairs, quilting, blogging, or spiritual studies. If you don't like reading, take off the soap operas, MTV, or E! Entertainment Television. Put on the Discovery Channel, Biography Channel, or History Channel.
There's an abundance of knowledge to learn about computers. This includes digital photography, programming, and marketing to name just a few.
Try a personal growth course. Something that helps you stay in a positive frame of mind and focus on your goals.
Learn a new sport, or just get better at one you love. Team sports like soccer, softball, football, and tennis are great for getting the brain flowing. Try something that helps you relax like yoga or aquatics.
When you decide to increase your wealth of knowledge, it's easy to double your income. Why do you think that doctors, bookkeepers, or lawyers are complaining that their income is going down? It's hard to keep up with the amount of knowledge out there. The knowledge base grows so quickly that keeping up is too much for one person.
When you want to double your income, double what you learn. The key to success is knowledge. The more adaptable and multi-faceted you are in this day and age, the better off you will be.
