You want to double your income? Are you ready? Most of us feel like we are ready to double our income. Who wouldn't want to get out of debt? The fact is that if you want to double your income, you need direction in your life.
Without understanding your main goals in life, you will face over and over again the suffering of messes outside your life that aren't congruent with who you want to be, you won't get of debt, your income will continue to be inadequate, and your self-esteem will be low.
Take charge of your life and create a pathway of success, and you will be on the road to some of the greatest secrets. The law of attraction calls into your life what you focus on. If you're focusing on the twenty pounds you need to lose, you are focusing on all that extra weight and calling it into the world. Picture yourself as that thin, confident person.
There are six common mistakes that people make on the road to financial success. Take a look at these six areas and try to make small improvements in a holistic way to move towards a happier, healthier, and wealthier life!
1. Setting Deadlines. Setting deadlines like, "by the end of the year" or "by my birthday" are too vague and unlikely to reap any success. Do you want to clean your garage by your birthday, or do you want to clean your garage by October 19? The goal of October 19 is much more specific than by your birthday. Plus, do you really want to be cleaning your garage on your birthday?
2. Can You Measure the Goal? This goes back to being too vague. For example, a goal that says, "I will be nicer to my boyfriend" is immeasurable. It's an emotional goal. If I called you a year from now and asked if you were nicer to your boyfriend, what would you say?
Chances are you would be like, "Well, yeah, I think I was. At least, most of the time." This goal will not set you up for success. Try something that can be measured such as, "I will create a poem for my boyfriend on July 21."
3. Keep it Simple and Brief. Make the goal as short as possible. All you need is a subject, verb, and object. Eliminate all "ifs," "ands," and "buts."
4. Setting Goals with an End Result. "I will make more money." This sounds vague. When, where, and how? "I get a $20,000 raise at my job."
5. Positive Thinking. It's all about the law of attraction. Which one sounds better? "I will stop eating so much," or "I will eat healthy fruits and vegetables."
6. Keeping Track of Goals. Nothing feels better than knowing where you are at with your goals. When you set a goal, be realistic. If you want to start jogging, you probably aren't going to do it three times a week when you start out.
By keeping these common roadblocks in mind, you can set your path to double your income. The law of attraction can work so things "automagically" happen for you, but it doesn't all just fall in your lap. Take the time to be diligent and set your goals firmly in your mind.
