Are you scratching your head and wondering how you get out of debt by letting someone else do it? Well, how do you think wealthy people are able to take care of everything? They have other people handle the things they don't like to do while they do the things they're good at.

If you don't have good people skills in your line of work, you might not want to take a managerial position. You'll wind up losing money. If you don't know how to organize your books, hire a bookkeeper. You may end up in trouble with the IRS and lose money. If you don't like to market your business, hire someone to do the marketing for you. You'll end up making more money.

Now, if you don't have big responsibilities in your life, get help with the little things. What would help you get out of debt and do something you enjoy? Does mowing the lawn bring you great pleasure? If it does, go for it. If you have other things to do, invest $20 in your son or neighborhood kid to mow it for you. Chances are they'll love doing it, too.

Now take that time and move towards something that helps you fill your goals and desires. Maybe you can read a "how to" book or learn a new piece of software so you get that promotion.

Keep in mind that you don't have to do everything that is a part of your goal. You just have to make sure it gets done. There could be any number of reasons that you don't get the job at hand done yourself. Maybe there's not enough time, not enough interest, not enough skills, not enough tools, or it's just not your thing; whatever it is, it really doesn't matter.

As long as you achieve the end result, does it really matter who takes credit for it? For some people, delegation can be scary. It takes trust. You have to give up a portion of control when you delegate. Have you ever noticed that the ones that think they can do it better themselves never get help? You have to ask. Delegate.

Think about it. How many people actually set goals to accomplish something they're already good at? If you're good at it, the chances are that you're already doing it. These goals are going to take delegation to fulfill. You don't have to do it all on your own. When you decide to do everything, you are basically signing up for doing things you either don't enjoy or aren't competent at.

Eliminate procrastination by delegating. Your procrastination is a signal that there is work someone can help you with who might even enjoy it. Just because you don't favor something doesn't mean you won't find someone that really excels at this.

The secret to get out of debt is to eliminate the stressors in your life so that you can focus on what you do well.
