How To Live a Stress Free Life

Are you looking for stress relief? No drugs, no meditation? Have you ever thought about taking up a craft? In fact, doing a craft is a prescription for good health. And more importantly you do not need to be good at the craft to benefit!

I will propose a very simple definition that you are welcome to try on for size. By "stress" I mean the emotional, mental, phyiscal and spiritual pain one feels when they are not where they desire to be in any given moment. Now by "where" I do not mean simply a physical location but rather a state. This can be a mental, emotional, physical and/or spiritual state.

Stress can lead to depression, anxiety, irritability, and other emotional problems. So, to prevent stress and to avoid burning yourself out that your body tends to fuse out and releases no more energy because of its condition, take some tips o how to live a healthy, stress-free life.


Sadly enough, Western medicine does not consider one’s manner of living as important as in the treatment of diseases. Indeed, I was baffled and saddened to know that a particular doctor told his seriously ill cancer patient to go ahead and do what he likes -- play strenuous badminton games and do weight-lifting. It seems like a happy-go-lucky advice -- go out and do what you like, you are going to die anyway! We feel that this is not sound advice coming from a professional who should know better.

I ponder this creation I make, now adult, in my own kitchen. It is a veritable orchestra of sounds and smells. A delicate balance of taste and timing. And when the moment comes for a bit of peaceful reflection I marvel at how well I conducted my own creation and fall into deep reverie and thanks for the foundation built by my mother.


In short when we do the inner work on a regular basis (i.e. morning meditation, afternoon breathing techniques etc.) our ability to see the humor in most anything is enhanced and supercharged! It is from this seat of the joyous soul that a stress free life is not only possible, but easily attainable for anyone. Choose a Stress Relief strategy that works for you …

There are hundreds of ways to get rid of stress if you wholeheartedly seek them out. From meditation to making love, there's a strategy that will work for you. All you have to do is find it. It may not be the first one you choose that works for you, but if you do 1 thing different each day that helps you to get rid of stress, then at the end of a week you've tried seven new strategies.

Whenever you are making a decision ask yourself if it is going to bring more happiness and joy into your life or less. If the answer is less, then either make another decision or keep things the way they are.

Even the most gung-ho executive will benefit from time off. Not only will friends and family be grateful, if you take time off from work and potentially stressful situations, you will be more productive and better equipped to handle life's little surprises, if you give yourself a chance to rejuvenate.
