It is a common trend that after a huge success of a movie, the producers announce its sequel and then another. A few famous characters in the line are Batman, Rocky, Harry Potter, Superman, and Spiderman. Soon Transformers is going to join the list by the release of another movie named as ‘Revenge of the Fallen'. After hitting the box office, the executive producer of the film Steven Spielberg announced a follow up of the movie with almost the same cast but new robotic characters.

Before moving towards the contrast of success between the new movie and previous one, we must know the success story of the ‘Transformers (2007)' and its business. The facts will facilitate, and the predictions will lead to a better comparison.

Transformers was released on July 3rd 2007 and it was distributed by the Paramount pictures. Its production budget was nearly $150 million (US Dollars). Its domestic gross total revenue generation was $ 320 million (US Dollars). Its foreign gross total was $390 million (US dollars). Worldwide, it has generated nearly $ 708 million (US dollars). The closing date of the movie was 8th November 2007. The movie was ranked 20th in All Time Domestic ranking, 30th in the All Time Worldwide ranking, and 5th on Worldwide Yearly rankings.

Fans, although content by the previous movie have higher standards now. This time they expect the new movie to be even better than the previous one and only then, it can certainly be a success. The movie requires an awesome story, better characterisation of the robots, better acrobatic stunts, and better music which ask for a handsome budget and efforts.

Although the Transformers 2 ‘Revenge of the Fallen' has not yet been released, it is very difficult to analyse its outcomes. Generally, the result can be predicted through various patterns. The first and the foremost impression can be taken through the comment of the actress of the movie Megan Fox who has stated that this movie is going to be ten times bigger in action and entertainment than the previous movie. It has bigger stunts and explosions which can help us predict that this movie is going to hit the box office alarmingly. But a bigger budget does not mean a success story, so uncertainty is always there.

So far the budget has exceeded $200 million (US dollars) which is $50 million (US Dollars) more than the previous film. The new splendid filming places such as Jordan, France, USA, and Egypt have shown the world that an effort is put into the movie.

The better part of the film is that it is targeting audiences of all ages. This promises better revenue. Shia LaBeouf is the hero of the movie. He claims that this time a lot of effort has been put to robots and their characterisation.

The robots are going to be more detailed and will have better specifications. Considering the above -mentioned facts, it appears that the next movie is going to be a greater success, but only time can tell.

Don't miss the new Transformers movie, showing at all Odeon cinemas from June 19.
