A neat and clean grout surface adds life to floor tiles. Hence, add unmatchable durability to your tiles by frequent cleaning and re-grouting techniques.

The grout plays a significant role in maintaining the strength of floor tiles. The professional who install the tiles makes sure that the adhesive acts as an effective cohesive medium between the tile and ground surface. At times, the adhesive loosen itself due to encounter with dust and cleaning material. Hence, tiles get chipped or cracked easily. Hence, it is necessary to clean the grout thoroughly.

You can clean the grout between consecutive tiles with the help of the following methods.

1 You should seal the floor tiles and grout at the time of installation. The sealant acts as a protective layer that prevents direct contact between the tiles and dirt. Ideally, you should appoint a professional to re-seal and clean the tiled surface. This ensures that the tiles maintain their beauty for a long time.

2 You can clean the stained grout with help of a poultice and a grout brush. You can prepare the poultice by mixing baking soda with some water. Mix it thoroughly to prepare a thick paste. Now, soak the poultice on the brush and grout between adjacent tiles. Scrub the stained grout with the baking soda poultice, until the stains are completely removed. After the scrubbing process, clean the remaining poultice with water to avoid any tile damage.

3 If you come across stains that are stubborn and difficult to remove, then prepare a mixture of bleach and water in equal ratio. Keep the mixture on the grout lining and scrub gently to moisten the stain. You can also purchase bleach pens to lay a lining on the grout between floor tiles.

4 At times, you can also come across stains that have soaked inside the grout and are difficult to remove. Hence, the only option is to remove the grout between the tiles. You can do this with help of hand-held rotator tools or mini-sander. After removing the grout, replace it with new one and seal the floor tiles.

Hence, these cleaning methods will help in maintaining the beauty of your floor tiles for a long span of time.
