Summer vacation tends to bore kids especially when they are stuck at home watching cartoons or playing in their room alone. You can make summer vacation a fun and productive time for your kids by keeping them busy with summer activities. Here are summer activities that you may want to suggest to your kids.

• Build sand castles: Take your kids to the beach and let them build their own sand castle. Kids love doing things on their own, because they love the idea of accomplishing things. And building their own sand castle without your assistance helps them to be confident and proud of their abilities.

• Make a time capsule: This can help your kids build their dreams about their future. Let your kids write about their wishes, dreams and goals that they want to accomplish years from now. Buy colored paper and pens so your kids can be creative with their time capsule project.

• Learn to play a musical instrument: Ask your kids about their favorite musical instruments and enroll them in a music class. This can help your kids develop their skills and potentials. Show them your support and encouragement by watching them play their musical instruments.
