The most important news this month which concerns you is the
fall of the UK and US government's pension schemes.
In the Sunday Times the main points of concern these.

The Great Pension Swindle - Frank Field extract from the
Sunday Times

The Treasury suspects that when the rest of us are saving for
our pensions, we're up to some clever tax dodge.

Critics we are told are only quoting sections of the papers
forced out under the freedom of information act listing the
damaging consequences of the ACT( advance corporation tax)
changes;

Pensions would be cut.

An annual 4 billion cut in pension fund income.

Fund values would fall by 50 billion.

Council tax would rise to pay for local authority pension fund

deficits.

Schemes would be driven into insolvency.

The scale of pension fund closures is of landslide proportions.

Schemes have been forced into insolvency and 125, 000
pensioners are still not being compensated for their losses

Sunday Times additional report on the pensions blunder states
the Treasury tried every trick in the book to block
publication of the document which revealed the Chancellor knew
of the consequences.

The trend of most companies today is to use short trem or long
term employees.
Or have full time staff but not provide any pension benefits
for them. They would have to arrange their own pension system.
Many 1,000s of people will have little or no pension come
retire age.

Hence this government's goal to make everybody work up to the
age of 70.

These are the facts. My question now is what are you going to
do about it?

The majority immediately think marching to no 10 to air their
complaint will create change.
This is the wrong approach. This will only lead to a possible
arrest/criminal record.
If you, like me are concerned about your future you cannot let
this pass.

My advice to you is to think about becoming an international
man/woman.
Look for ways of investing your hard earned money on an
international basis.
Do not place your trust in a pension in providing you with
security in old age.
