Since the turn of the last century Ford, Toyota and Motorola have been at the heart of manufacturing improvements. These Companies introduced improvements such as Just in Time, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma resulting in product quality improvements and reduced inspection and testing throughout the manufacturing cycle. Traditional statistical process controls in manufacturing operations usually proceed by randomly sampling and testing a fraction of the output. Variances of critical tolerances are continuously tracked, and manufacturing processes are corrected before bad parts can be produced. These processes are not infallible, so what does a Company do when products are then found to be "Dead on delivery"?
Hewlett-Packard, the leading IT supplier of Laserjet and Designjet Printers has introduced their Renew Program. Having sold a product once as new, it would be wrong to then resell the product again as new. To identify those products that have been repaired but never been used HP add an "R" to the Part Number eg C5957A will become C5957AR in the Renew Channel.

Select IT Resellers in the United Kingdom, such as the Landscape Group are able to sell Renew Products, where the only difference is the price and in these times of economic difficulty offer Customers a real cost effective alternative solution.
