In addition to the strength training, you will also need a series of muscle stretches for these muscle groups. You need power, but you also need flexibility. Stretching out will also help prepare and relax your muscles, so it is wise to stretch thoroughly before and after your exercises.

There are many more exercises that can help you create a great training program. A full program with many different exercises is the best way to increase your vertical jumping ability. By the time that you have gotten used to your routine, you will see a big improvement in the heights that you achieve.
