Think about what the world is like today. During this time of recession, or new economy, finances can be tight and jobs can be a little scarce in some areas. Dealerships are closing, banks are throwing in the towel and industries are being widely effected by it. Too many people are terrified to spend their hard earned money thinking that they may not have enough. The world is in a downward spiral that can only be changed if they themselves stop thinking the way they are. A home business teaches the mindset of a successful entrepreneur. It teaches things that will never be taught at educational institutes. It creates entrepreneurial leaders!

There are people barely making ends meet. The average US income is barely enough to pay the bills and put food on the table. Both Dads and Moms are having to leave the home to work. At the average US income, it becomes nearly impossible for the father to provide for his family. With a home business, the father is at home and in direct control over his household income.

Many are coming to the realization that life isn't all about working the 9 to 5 job! After waking up at 5 am, commuting into work an hour each way, putting in 2 or 3 hours of overtime every day, and still barely squeaking by with the bills isn't fun anymore. Most don't even really enjoy their jobs and are realizing that they actually have a choice. Knowing where the path they are currently on leads, they look to other sources of income. Sources that don't involve a boss or someone breathing down their neck all the time. In a home business, you are the boss.

The traditional style of doing business is becoming very time intensive. Those who start franchises realize that they just bought themselves an 80 hour a week job that pays them nearly exactly what they were making in a job. The only perk is the tax write offs. While some franchises can be fairly reasonable to get into, most have a very significant upfront investment which will not see much profit for several years. The traditional style of business, being totally dependent on the local economy, is vulnerable to natural disasters and dependent on other businesses in the area. Not a home business!

The sacrifice of not starting a home business is becoming to great. In order to make a decent income, people are giving up the very things they live for and wish to work for and provide for. Family, travel, time freedom, financial independence, toys and lifestyle are a few of the things people are sacrificing. What are they even working for? What's the benefit of putting in a few more hours at work so that the guy who owns it all can make $1000 bucks while you make $50. Is it really worth it? A home business provides the ability to do and have all of this, including the $1000 bucks that would go into an employers pocket.

People are turning to a home business because it teaches self reliance. It teaches Entrepreneurship and prosperity.It provides opportunity to expand and grow your income. It puts you, the owner, in direct control of your future. It hands people back the reins of every aspect of their lives. It provides the vehicle to obtain freedom, both financial and personally. It is the way of the future entrepreneur. It is the next frontier to be explored.
