Movie posters are the first marketing tools of any film. Serving as the movie's first teasers and trailers, there is a lot that movie posters can contribute in promoting a film. Whether it has great graphic design, haunting imagery, stunning photography or a catchy tagline, movie posters do a lot for generating interest, anticipation and eventually, viewing of the film. Great posters can lead the way to a box office hit if done effectively. There have been some movie posters that stand out from the rest and these are ones that have been popularly reprinted for fans and movie poster collectors. Movie poster prints online have often been viewed, ordered or printed through online poster printing services.

One great example of a famous movie poster, creating worldwide anticipation for a film was 1999's Star Wars, Episode 1-The Beginning. Directed by George Lucas, this film already had initial buzz and had been widely anticipated, with fans raring to view movie poster prints online. The beginning of the highly successful, epic saga of Star Wars was about to unfold and for fans young and old, old and new, the upcoming film was something to look forward to. The film, as said in the title, introduces the intergalactic conflict caused by the hunger for power of the Trade Federation as they capture the peaceful planet of Naboo. Jedis, Qui Gon Gin and Obi Wan Kenobi are sent to confront and appease this attempt only to find that the federation had already pushed through with their treacherous plans. As the Jedis arrive in Naboo just in time to save the planet's Queen Amidala, they bring her to the safe planet of Tatooine where they meet the young Anakin Skywalker. Here the plot unravels as Qui Gon Gin sets out to develop the potential power in the boy's future, beginning the plot of one of the most tragic epic sagas in the history of motion picture.

The film's poster effectively captures this conflicted discovery of Anakin and his potential as it features the young boy standing vulnerable and alone, the shape of his shadow casting the long-doomful image of what his future and powers will make him. Just like the Star Wars plot, the poster effectively served as the poignant beginning to the disappointment and despair that comes ahead.
