The Right Performer for Theater

Movies and television have been the most popular choice of media for actors and actresses. A movie or television actor has no doubt more exposure due to the uncountable number of audience who support the said media. However, there are actors who still explore other means for their work, including the theater. Nowadays movie or TV actors can cross-over to theater and Broadway, and vice versa, and still come out successful.

Casting a popular actor in a theater production or Broadway can be an advantage and a risk at the same time. A popular actor means a wider audience; not only the loyal followers of theater be the viewers of the play, fans of the actor will also be interested in watching. Tickets will surely sell like hotcakes. The risk to this decision is the fear of not meeting the expectations of both fans and critics. Critics might think that the theater is not the right medium for the actor, or fans might say that there was no enough exposure for such a famous actor. The audience may get very critical in this case because of the excitement brought about by casting an A-list actor.

The most important thing to consider in producing plays is the story itself. The actors may be the ones that the audience watches out for, but that should not be an excuse for lousy story writing. The director should cooperate with the writers, and songwriters in the case of musicals, to come up with a story that would surely click with the audience. The director should also analyze the characters of the play to see if it's necessary for a popular actor to be casted on it. If the director is confident enough to know that his production will be successful without the help of an A-list actor to hype it, then he could cast other theater actors who would probably fit better for the role.

A theater production does not need the help of some overrated actor to promote because a lot of people still continue to follow theater and Broadway despite the over-popularity of TV and movies. Promotion using poster prints and simple television commercials would do the trick since techniques like poster printing for theater and other forms of entertainment is still effective anyway.

She plans to go to Japan and put an end to the person who created their eye-candy, terrible actors. She refuses to name who those people are. But for now, she has to be a Content Writer.
