How simple is it develop an information product? Well with the software, video and support services available both on and offline, creating information products for online sale hasn't been easier. What that means is basically anyone can develop these types of products, but not everyone will be successful at selling these products.

Using video marketing blogs for example provides an opportunity for individuals who prefer not to write, to present their ideas and know how online with only a reasonable quality camcorder, computer and an account with UTUBE, Viddler etc. Add to this video product, an ebook or series of ebooks, a membership site, or some downloadable software, well now you have provided your customers with enticements, freebies, up sells and down sells to your main product offering. The JV partnership, enables you to increase the visibility of your product, increases the number of affiliates who will be motivated to sell your products and provides a leverage point on which you as the product owner can build long term relationships with super affiliates. There are however a few simple points that you need to always have in mind as you begin to build your internet marketing strategy around JV partnerships.

1. JV Partners are already very busy individuals, so make sure all your back end product information, sales pages, squeeze pages, link tracking and so on are completed or 95% completed, before you go shopping around. There is nothing worse than approaching JV partners with an ALMOST finished product, that is really only 50% complete.

2. Build relationships with JV partners and Brokers through forums, chat rooms, blogs sites, conferences etc. Knowing who you are and who you are dealing with sets a really nice tone to proceed toward a business relationship. Believe me, face-to-face meetings can provide significant advantages in very competitive niches.


3. Properly define your niche. In the product development phase you must know what niche you are going to target first. Not all JV partners promote products in all areas, so be aware of this before hand.

4. Monty Hall, best known for his game show Let's Make a Deal once said "Actually, I'm an overnight success. But it took twenty years." Patience and persistence is always the key. Steadily build relationships that will lead to your ultimate goal.

Your online marketing strategy will revolve heavily around your ability to bring traffic to your website. By developing an internet marketing platform that combines among others, solid affiliate tools, good sales page, web 2.0 strategy, good keyword targeting, blogs video testimonials etc and establishing your product credibility through JV partners, will minimize your risks and maximize your rewards.
