There are many ways of transacting business and one of them is through credit terms. In connection to this, some companies offer credit cards so that their clients can purchase goods and services even when they do not have cash in hand. This card is basically made of plastic and bears a serial number that is unique to the holder and the creditor.

The advantage of these cards is that, it allows the holder to have a cash advance which he repays at a later date. In addition, the arrangement of using this card allows the user to revolve his balance, meaning that he does not have to pay up for all the borrowed money before he gets another cash advance.

Before applying for a credit card from the local bank or from the unions that issue them, it would be in order for the person applying to consider the amount of interest charged on the card. This is because this interest is what drives most people to a point of being bankrupt. Interest charged on some of these cards is just too high as compared to operating your life on a cash basis.

The user has to agree to the terms and conditions of using the card, meaning that he must agree to pay any outstanding bills that have been accrued through its use. After purchase, he signs a receipt which has all the relevant details and amount owed. The merchant from which the goods have been bought sends a copy of the receipt to the card issuer who then pays on behalf of the card holder, and later reclaims this amount form the card holder.
