Using Bleach In Cleaning A Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink

Every home has its kitchen sink whether it be a stainless steel or the modern sink nowadays. For those having a stainless steel kitchen sink, there are certain steps to follow upon cleaning it.

First thing to do is you have to drain and close the sink, pour normal hot water until it reaches the entire top of the sink. The reason of doing this kind of procedure is to soften whatever stains that your sink has in order for you to scrub it gently after the hard stains are removed.

The next step is to pour one capful of bleach in the sink together with the normal hot water that you have poured a while ago and then let it leave for about 2 hours. Pouring a one capful of bleach helps the stain susceptible and easily eliminates the stains as the result of bleach will take effect from the start it was poured. Although you will have to wait for 2 hours, it is a worth wait because afterwards if 2 hours is finished you will then have the easiest way of scrubbing the stainless steel sink without any hassle.


You have to take away any substance or any objects from the steel edges of your sink. Since the basin is drenched in the sink, immerse some sheets of paper towels carefully in the water with bleach. After doing the said step, put down the drenched paper towels on the edge of the sink basin and be sure that it doesn't extend beyond onto your countertop. Compress the towels down calmly and let bleached towels to drenched again to the edges of your sink and then again wait for two hours. You will find this procedure to be hassle on your part because you will spend more of your time paying awareness on every step you take, but then you will surely have to be satisfied about the outcome afterwards if you are already done in following the steps. You need to have patience upon doing this so, because this is the only way to have a clean stainless steel sink.

The last step to take into consideration is to drain the water and then throw away the paper towels because the bleach that you have poured may wear away most of the dirt on the steel. But if you see some dirt that was not yet removed, then try to find or get an old toothbrush and scrub those areas that are left and still need further cleaning. Since the bleach helps eliminates the dirt by loosening and softening the dirt, scrubbing is now then easy for you to do. After following the steps, you will then have a clean and brilliant stainless steel kitchen sink you ever wanted.
