God Ordering Your Steps

The Bible says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Proverbs 16:9, A man's heart plans his way but the Lord orders his steps. This is a clear indication that only God knows where you ought to go. Without his guidance and direction, you are like sheep lost in the wilderness. But for there to be God's guidance in life, there has to be motion to start with. You cannot tell God to order your steps yet you are not doing anything.

At times we might not like the direction God wants our lives to take. This usually happens when God starts revealing to us what he intends with our lives. You might be a thriving business man, yet God wants you in the ministry and you are afraid to leave the comfort zone of your business. You should know that where God has ordered a vision for you, even the provision is there. Stop worrying about how you are going to take care of your needs. Do you think he would call you in to the ministry so as he can watch you get frustrated with the bills and debts?

God's direction brings about total union with God. When we obey his will, we live at peace and have more joy. In the steps of the Lord, there is prosperity, growth and salvation. You do not expect to fight the same devils when God is the one ordering your ways. Stop resisting what God wants to do in your life. He has already worked out the tiny details and he is doing it for your own good.
