Faith without Works

In the whole book of James, the writer warns against Christians sleeping on the job. He says, let people know of your faith through your works. Faith without work is not faith. How do you believe God to give you the car of your dreams and not wake up in the morning to go work so as you can earn enough money to buy it. When we have faith for something, we believe that God is going to provide it for us. This does not mean that you sit down doing nothing and expect it to drop from heaven. Work is very important even to God. He had to work for six days creating the earth and all its inhabitants. How do you expect not to work especially when you are a Christian.

When we walk in faith and put the faith in action in our different areas of calling, God gives us the grace and favor we need in order to get where he wants us to go. The work might be hard and energy consuming but since you already have grace from God to do it, you do not get tired or weary. Psalms40:31 says, but they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not get weary and they shall walk and not faint. This is the beauty of walking in the grace of God. Nothing can put you down.

Have you been praying and fasting? Have you soured a seed of faith for where God wants to take you? Its time to stop procrastinating and start moving. God blesses movement. He will also order your steps but you have to take the first step in faith. Trust in him today and do that which you have been fearing to do. Fear is the greatest enemy to a Christian. It is not from God and you should overcome it today by taking that first step to where God is taking you.
