Stop thinking, and start blogging is an approach I came up with after weeks of being frustrated on what to write about in my blog. I don't know if this idea is unique, I don't know if someone has already written or blogged about this, I'm not even going to bother to research about it, because I don't care. This post is going to be a flow of my thoughts.
After coming out of a nice hot shower, it just came to me that often when we are trying to be successful in business, life, wealth, blogging, really anything, we tend to spend more time thinking than actually doing. Of course this is not new, everyone has heard from someone or somewhere, "you must take action!" well it is easier said than done. While I'm on my train of thought, I just want to mention the famous quote by Bruce Lee
"If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done." and
"Knowing is not enough, you must apply; willing is not enough, you must do."
I actually came across this poster when eating at a Korean restaurant with a few of my friends, I always thought I understood what he meant, but what a fool I was, only now do I truly understand what it means to act.
I'm very passionate about self-development; I read tons of books and listen to tons of audio programs. So I heard the statement you must "take action" over hundreds of times by all sorts of motivational speaker. I use to believe that I was taking action by thinking and planning about what to write, I don't believe that any more. Acting is not necessarily a lack of thinking, but rather is about being in the moment; it's about getting out of your head and start doing. Even if you have no idea what to do, just start; even if you have no idea what to write, just start typing even if it's a word or even a letter it's a start. It has been said by Martin Luther King, Jr.
"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step."
Finally one last time just take the first step and the rest will unfold.
Although this post was mostly written from my train of thought, I'm now going to send this to my friend so he can edit my spelling and grammar. As much as I would like to post this as it is, it would just be unpleasant read and decipher.
