Building back links will help get your website get a higher Page Rank in the search engines.

Here's a few ways for getting back links for your blog:

1. Regular Blog Commenting
Posting appropriate comments on blogs similar topic to yours - whether they're make money blogs, internet marketing blogs, healthy blogs or even web design blogs. Post on at least 2 blogs a day.

2. Social Bookmarking Sites
Use several Bookmarking sites to add links to your latest posts. Spread it out evenly so the links build up over time.

3. Submitting Articles on Article Directories
Submit articles on several Article Directories, like this one. Sites could pick up your articles with your links, so that's more back links just from articles you submit.

4. Submitting to Web Directories
There's a Free Directory Submitter available at Jotterbox.com you can use to submit to over 200+ Web Directories. You can also manually submit to high page rank directories.

5. Creating Forum Signatures
Use the forum signature with links to your site to create back links. Search Engines love forum and sooner or later, you'll build up back links just from posting in forums.

6. RSS Directories
Submit your RSS Feeds to various RSS Directories. There's a list of High Page Rank RSS Directories at Jotterbox.com.

7. Blog Directories
Submit to Blog Directories. These are the added benefit to having a blog. You can only submit blogs to these directories.

8. Other Blog Posts
Create free blogs and put a link of your blogs on those. Use blogs from ebay, myspace and blogger.

By far, the easiest way I'm finding to create back links (and perhaps less time consuming than others) is posting comments on other blogs. If I skip on any of the above, I would always squeeze in blog commenting as much as possible. This is also instant back links (if the replies don't need to be moderated).
