How to Find Motivation for Oneself?

Motivation is an essential precondition of one's successful performing in any activity. It is proved that a person performs best when he or she knows why and for what this or that work should be done. If one is truly interested in the results or in the process itself, one will certainly demonstrate best possible results. Vice versa, if you don't like what you have to do, if this activity is a real burden for you, you will not achieve what was expected.

Psychologists noticed that results of work directly depend on the interest a person has in some sphere of activity. This observation promoted profound learning of such a phenomenon as motivation; and theories of motivation appeared and are developed. Researchers point to the fact that motivation is very much related to interest. When there is interest – there is motivation and, as a consequence, there is a result. Thus interest is the source of motivation. We should keep it in mind when feel like abstaining from doing something. For example, if we need to write a serious research paper we first of all have to look for the topic that would definitely be interesting to us. Otherwise, we are almost sure to fail or at least to have no satisfaction from making a research. School teachers, professors, employers should also keep this premise in mind if they want to stimulate children, students or employees to perform very well. Indeed, interest serves a great source for motivation and when you have some interest, you start looking for as many options as possible. If you feel you have an inclination to write, you might become first a freelance writer but later apply for a prospective position in a respectable edition. The main thing is to keep your interest rather than lose it. As long as you have interest, you search for options and you are sure to find them. You may as well motivate yourself through goal setting. Think of aims as benchmarks on your way to some prime goal and reaching these benchmarks will bring you satisfaction and motivate towards further self-actualization. Do not be afraid of motivating others as well. You will also benefit from such motivation and help someone else. Sometimes people are just stuck in the reluctance and feeling of "no interest to anything". That is indeed bad and even dangerous to person's health and well-being. People need prospects of future in order to live a full life; when there is no such, they lose desire to develop themselves, which eventually may turn into a serious depression and bring a lot of harm.

That is why do not lose any of your chances to acquire some interests or start a new activity. Just think of what you need first and foremost. And let that lead you, bringing an incentive to move ahead. Thus you are almost certain to not only get efficient results but get pleasure from what you are doing.
