In the first article of this series, I discussed these five moral absolutes. 1. GOD VALUES HUMAN LIFE. 2. GOD IS SOVEREIGN. 3. GOD IS IN CHARGE. 4. GOD'S WORD IS DEPENDABLE. 5. THERE IS A KINGDOM THAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN, AND YOU CAN BELONG TO THAT KINGDOM. In this article, let's discuss five more certain and unshakeable moral absolutes.
MORAL ABSOLUTE #1. YOU ARE COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.
When Jesus came, He came and shed His blood to save you, cleanse you, forgive you, and deliver you from the power of sin and Satan. For those who are a born again, who have accepted the gift of eternal life and made Jesus Lord over all, it is a certain and unshakeable moral absolute that they are COVERED by the BLOOD of JESUS. His blood has bought you, and SEALED your ETERNITY - and the enemy has no claim upon your life. You are His and His alone. He is your Redeemer, and He has taken full responsibility for your life since the day you gave your heart to Him. Because of His blood, your FUTURE is secure, your Inheritance is guaranteed, and your DESTINY is certain. WOW! Lemme say that backwards – WOW! The CRIMSON BLOOD of Jesus WASHES you WHITE as SNOW! It is a certain and unshakeable thing for believers that The BLOOD of Jesus COVERS you! What an AWESOME thought!
MORAL ABSOLUTE # 2. GOD HAS GIVEN YOU ALL YOU NEED TO SERVE HIM.
It is also a certain and unshakeable moral absolute that God has given you ALL you need to SERVE Him. The MERCY of God and the BLOOD of Jesus covers you! The PRESENCE of God is in you, the ARMS of God are around you, the GIFTS of God are for you, His HAND of blessing and power is upon you. He has not abandoned you or left you in this world as an orphan, alone and forsaken. NO! NO! God is for you, the Holy Spirit FILLS you , Jesus is with you, His ministering angels are encamped around you, and all the heavenly hosts are on your side. REMEMBER this: WHATEVER God CALLS you to do – God will GIFT you and EMPOWER you to do it WELL and serve Him well! If God calls you to be a preacher or teacher of His Word, He will enable you to do it well and serve Him well. If God calls you to be a Christian Doctor, lawyer, school teacher, or mechanic, He will empower you to do it well for Him. The ONLY thing God asks from you is FAITHFUL OBEDIENCE! It is a certain and unshakeable thing that you have ALL you NEED to SERVE Him WELL! So – SERVE HIM WELL!
MORAL ABSOLUTE # 3. JESUS CHRIST IS COMING AGAIN, AND HIS COMING IS CLOSER THAN IT'S EVER BEEN.
There has always been speculation about the Second Coming of Jesus. People have predicted the exact time and location, sold their worldly goods, and gone to wait for His coming, only to be disappointed when it didn't happen. I can't tell you exactly when Jesus is coming again, but I CAN tell you it is a certain and unshakeable moral absolute that JESUS IS COMING AGAIN, and His coming is closer today than it has EVER been before! I saw a bumper sticker the other day that was a sad and sorry attempt to ridicule evangelical Christianity! It said "WHEN THE RAPTURE COMES, CAN I HAVE YOUR CAR?
WATCH THIS: - JESUS IS COMING AGAIN! Do you BELIEVE it? SAY it out LOUD! JESUS is COMING AGAIN! Say it again Jesus IS Coming Again! Do you realize that the outcome of all ETERNITY has already been determined. Jesus is the winner. HE has CONQUERED SATAN, Sin, and the GRAVE! He is without rival in the universe. No Hitler, No Stalin, No Bin Laden, No Hussein, No evil, No outlaw, No terrorist No anarchist can EVER STAND AGAINST HIM! Every enemy of God will be defeated! Every false prophet will be exposed! Every evil spirit will be chained, and every accusing tongue will be silenced! IF THAT DON'T LIGHT YOUR FIRE, YOUR WOOD'S ALL WET!
The final chapter in the Book of Life has already been written, and there will be no need for rewrites or revisions. All that remains is for its writing to be fulfilled. One day soon, the MEESIAH, the JUDGE, the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS - WILL COME – and we who are His will live with the Lord FOREVER! It is a certain and unshakeable thing that Jesus IS COMING AGAIN!
MORAL ABSOLUTE #4. GOD LOVES YOU AND HE WILL NEVER FAIL YOU.
Yet another certain and unshakeable moral absolute is that GOD LOVES YOU and He will NEVER fail you! You are God's child and He is your Father. He loves and cares for you more than you will ever know. All that He is, He is for you. The depth of His love for you cannot be measured, and its height cannot be scaled. You CAN trust God completely because He will not fail you. When you go through trials God can keep you from defeat, and when you face temptations He can keep you from sorrow and shame. When the enemy comes in like a flood, God will raise up a standard against Him. GOD is FAITHFUL! God's WORD is TRUE! God's PROMISES are TRUSTWORTHY! God's LOVE is EVERLASTING! The CROSS of Jesus sets you FREE! God's MERCY is TENDER and His GRACE is SWEET! God will NEVER LEAVE you or FORSAKE you! There may be WEEPING for a NIGHT, but JOY comes in the MORNING! HALLELUJAH! It is a certain and unshakeable thing that God LOVES you and He will NEVER FAIL you!
MORAL ABSOLUTE #5. JESUS CHRIST WILL NEVER LET YOU GO. (John 10:28-30)
It is a certain and unshakeable moral absolute that Jesus Christ will NEVER let you go! WOW! Lemme say that backwards – WOW! Jesus is with you always, EVEN to the END of the WORLD! No one (not even the Devil) can PLUCK or SNATCH you out of His hand! We need not fear any evil! Jesus is praying for you DAILY, and His prayers are ALWAYS answered. Jesus is preparing a place for you in His Father's house, and He will come for you. If you ever QUESTION His LOVE for you, just look at His NAIL SCARRED HANDS. Jesus will never ask you to GO where HE hasn't GONE, or DO what HE hasn't DONE! HIS Spirit LIVES in His children! HIS GRACE is ALWAYS SUFFICIENT for our NEED! In the DARK times Jesus will be your LIGHT. In TROUBLED times Jesus will be your STRENGTH; Jesus will be your SHIELD; Jesus will be your MIGHTY FORTRESS! In UNCERTAIN and PAINFUL times Jesus will be your COMFORTER and your GUIDE! In FEARFUL and UNSETTLING times Jesus will be your COURAGE and your PEACE! You will NEVER face a DAY, an HOUR, a MINUTE, or a NANO-SECOND without Jesus! You will NEVER take a STEP without the PRESENCE of His HOLY SPIRIT walking beside you! You will NEVER face a need without His SUPPLY! You will NEVER face a TEMPTATION you CANNOT OVERCOME! You will NEVER see a SITUATION or CIRCUMSTANCE that Jesus can't bring you through. It is a certain and unshakeable thing that Jesus Christ will NEVER let you go! AMEN!
What an AWESOME COMFORT it is to know that I am covered by the blood of Christ and therefore I can serve Him with bold confidence. What a JOY it is to know that God loves me and will NEVER forsake me, and that Jesus will NEVER let me go. What a THRILL to know that the second coming of Jesus is closer today than it has ever been before. These things are certain and unshakeable moral absolutes, and in the immortal word of the old TV show "Baretta," "You can take 'dat to 'da bank!"

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You today for these MORAL ABSOLUTES which are never changing. I thank You that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever! Draw all men unto Yourself. Hold Your children in the palm of Your hand, and meet all our needs as only You can, through Your riches in Glory by Christ Jesus, in whose name I pray, Amen.
