Bid the Grid

You've all see MillionDollarHomePage, the site where Alex Tew's sold 1 million pixels at $1 each. And of course, you know what eBay is. What do these two unrelated sites have in common? Innovation, originality, and popularity. Enter Nir Dahan, another young entrepreneur with an interesting twist on the previously mentioned sites.

Nir is the creator of BidtheGrid.com. BidtheGrid contains 103 squares of varying sizes. Pricing starts at Free and can climb to $10,000 per square. What makes this site so interesting is how it gets to $10,000 for a square.

All of the squares start out at the low, low price of free. Once a square is claimed by someone, they are guaranteed that their ad will display for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, it is available for sale again, at a higher price. So, you get to keep that square until someone with a bigger pocketbook comes along. In the early stages that doesn't take much. Costs go up in specified increments starting at $1. Once, that grid reaches $10,000 the bidding is closed and the high bidder keeps that square for the life of BidtheGrid, at least March 2009. Another very nice deal, all advertisers get listed on the "List" page, regardless of whether or not they are still on the Grid.

The best part about BidtheGrid is the value. So far, there are a ton of good spots for only $1, and the center square is only at $50 right now! Also, there are a couple of free squares available, but those won't last long.

So, my recommendation is to get your square while they're still a great deal, because , soon, people will pick up on this site and the prices are going to skyrocket!
