If like myself, you have a large library of DVD films, its almost certain that at some point you are going to end up with either a damaged or lost cover. This recently happened to me and I set up looking for a way to replace what I thought was a pretty rare cover.

DVD Cover Searcher Professional was the program which caught my attention because it claimed to be extremely easy to use and moreover was completely free of advertising popups which is something I find annoying to say the least.

The installation kit is around 2mb in size and the setup wizard was very clean and easy to use. Having loaded the program, I was very impressed with both the look and feel of the interface. The menu was clear and very well presented.

There was a choice of 6 media categories to choose from, ranging from Audio through to Playstation2. Having entered the name of my missing cover, I hit the search button and to my amazement, up popped a list of around 20 or thirty results matching the name I inputted. Having selected the cover I required from the list, a small preview of the cover was displayed which I thought was nice.

Pressing the download button immediately started off the transfer of the cover to my desktop. The overall speed of the download was very quick on my 1mb broadband connection.

I was more than happy with the quality of the cover after it had been downloaded, especially after it was printed and placed back into the case.

Various preferences can be set from within program, such as default download folder, options to open the program after it has downloaded plus a bunch more.

One feature that is present in the Premium Edition that I found useful, was the ability to add covers from different media categories to a download queue and let the application download them automatically.

Pros.
Excellent application if you need to replace DVD and other media Covers and Labels. Very easy to use & tremendous value for money.

Cons.
The order in which you search for the title can be a little confusing to begin with but after you sit and study the options, it becomes very plain to understand.

Help file is a little weak in certain areas, but the technical support you receive from these guys is absolutely fantastic. "I think a lot of other companies should take a leaf out of their book when it comes to after sales support."

All in all.
