This is so you can't shut it off and go back to sleep again.

Get out of your bed quick. Get up and walk out of your room immediately after you feel awake. Chances are you will be going to bed again if you stay long inside your bedroom. You have to be careful on your way out, though. You might hit the door.

Get rid of stress before turning in for the night. This will give you a enough reason to rise up earlier and help you sleep too.
