Successful Presentations

To keep a prospect's attention during a presentation you
need to understand their needs and the needs of their
company. This way, you can tailor your presentation to keep
them focused. Develop solid speaking skills so that you can
get your point across with eloquence. Get to know your
audience; learn about their level of expertise on the topic
you'll be presenting and what terminology to use while
addressing them. Use active language and play with your
voice's pitch, tone, and volume.

When you practice, you increase your odds of a flawless
presentation. Practice it out loud at least three to six times.
Not only does practice help make your delivery smoother,
but it also builds your confidence.

Arrive early on the day of the presentation. This way you can
use the extra time to make sure the room and any equipment
you'll be using to enhance your presentation is working.
You'll also want to make sure that you have everything you
need, such as visuals, notes, markers, hand outs, etc.

Stay calm and confident no matter what questions are asked.
If you know your product or service and its functions, you
should be prepared to answer any questions your audience
comes up with. Be ready for questions pertaining to your
product and how the customers you are addressing will use
and benefit by it.

The information you provide your audience with is indeed
important, but the image you project during your delivery is
just as significant. Use your presentation as an opportunity
to show your audience that you can and will meet their needs
effectively.
