Custom Calendars - Out With The Old, In With The New

You know what I notice as I look over book shops in major cities, and cast my eyes over the range of custom calendars? Apart from all the beautifully designed book covers that pop out, there's a LOT of calendars that are badly in need of some extra 'visual' eye candy. Now don't get me wrong. There's also those calendars that jump right out of the rack with their superbly chosen photography. This is both a good and a bad thing. Why? Well, keep reading and you'll find out...

The real beautiful photo calendars definitely stand alone. These babies are there to look good and inspire or motivate you in some form or another. And that they do well, no doubt. You can put one of these on your wall and look at it everyday and never get bored at looking at it. Throw in a little imagination and you can almost drift into the scene and go there too. These cute custom calendars work their visual magic on all who pass. But what about the rest?

Well, you can still buy one of the more 'average' looking calendars and get more than your fair share of motivation out of it. But how? Well, that's what you're about to find out...

Here's what I do. It's simple, really. I look around and find a photograph that truly inspires me. This could be a beautiful home in nature, or a particular vista or landscape, or an expansive ocean view. Maybe a sports car you're always talking about. Whatever works best for you. As long as it hits a nerve with you and gives you the motivational 'lift' you need. (You can find images like this in magazines, online or even in stock photo agencies).

Then you simply take this photograph and paste it into your 'average' calendar. That's right, paste it right over the main photo. Don't worry, you're not going to offend anyone by doing this. What you are going to do is give yourself an image that motivates YOU. An image that is personal for you, that means something special for you.

Just remember, this is the image that you'll be looking up and seeing everyday. This custom calendar is going to be a subtle reminder of how your future might turn out too. So, needless to say, make sure that the image you choose is a motivational one!
