He has named his presensations Corporate Voodoo and Personal Voodoo. These names take their root from the Africam charm.-Voodoo. I was fortunate to be in this presentation. I got unto my rough road on the 2nd day of the presentation.
Life was put in its right persperctive. Business and personal growth was made simple and the challenges were left bare right on the minds of each member in the presentation.
This renowed speaker, writer and inspirational presenter made clear why businesses and individuals are still where they are and that embracing change is a matter of choice and when that option is chosen, the corporate or the individual sets off on the road to progress.
From this charming exposition-Voodoo- I asked him a few questions that were bothering my mind. As a real authority in his field he provided the answers with ease. The quick points he stressed among others are as follows:
My first question to Rene was: How can one move on to the road of progress? Is it through educational qualification, courses attended or training undertaken and titles? Is it through skills and experiences acquired over time or what?
He answered me simply by saying it is rather through your Attitude: The mindset must be fashioned on positives. He explained that we shall be where we are if we do not overcome our wrong attitudes. Set your mind on success and you will deliver success and vice versa.
Having gotten that answer I asked again what must you do in terms of work to progress?
Rene answered again and said Have Focus. No what you ought to do at anyy particular time. Knowing what to do and focussing on what you ought to do is a great begini ng on the road to progress. If you do not know what to do, you will never know where to get to. Have an objectives and work to achieve your objectives.
My third question was what kind of people should you work with?He said, not the people to work with but rather the people to relate with. He explained that Relationship building is a critical success factor on the road to progress. He said you must choose the right people at the right time.
Question four Rene, how do you keep your head above the waters when the going get tough on the road to progress?
His answer was keep inspiring yourself.Inspire others and others would inspire you. Be inspired to face your challenges. Remember that life challenges, corporate challenges and personal challenges are all part of lfe. Those who overcome them become victors.
I was short of questions, Rene continued to explain that to run on the road, one must be seen to be committed. Commitment he said is a neccessary factor to personal success.
Finally he said that take action, rather wait. Action is the only factor that would tell how you are ready for your personal progress.
