Brigantine is the perfect place for a vacation if you want to experience Atlantic City, but you also desire a "Beach Town" experience. It is a five minute drive from Atlantic City. Brigantine is filled with many other activities. There is a golf course on the island along with basketball and tennis courts. If you own a four wheel drive vehicle, Brigantine is one of the only Jersey Shore locations that will allow you to drive on the beach (permit required). On nice days, you will see people driving their vehicles on the beach. This is limited to a small section of the beach, not the entire beach. There is also an ample supply of restaurants and other stores on the island. Most necessities that you may need while on vacation can be purchased on the island.
