Phoenix is a magical bird in Chinese legends.Then it became the spirit of Chinese nation with dragon.However its existence is always a mystery for us.In recent years people found pictures about phoenix in a white earthenware which dug in Gaomiao cultural relics in Hongjiang City,Hunan Province.From that we can know those pictures have history of over 7000 years.That is a great archaeological find.It offers precious practical data for explaining its existence.

According to the mythology,when phoenix died each time,its whole body fired.Then she lived in the raging fire again,and got much stronger vitality than before.Again and again,phoenix became immortal.

After that calamity,birds change their former views to phoenix.In order to thank her,every bird chose one of their most beautiful feathers and made a suit of beauteous clothes for phoenix.Also they elected phoenix as their king.

Chinese people's views for auspiciousness have a profound history,since they show people's good wishes for life and future.Phoenix is regarded as mascot with the meaning of morality and aesthetic.Through processed,phoenix is printed with art and mark of national culture.
