Mainland Spain is the top seller, in terms of Holidays, according to Search Travel Online. This comes as no surprise, with Spain being one of the more economical destinations to visit for some sunshine. People really don't know what their missing out on though. They could holiday with us, in The Algarve! Portugal's south coast is so much better than Spain, in so many ways.

So here are six reasons why next time you holiday, you should holiday in the Algarve, with us:

Southern Europe has always been a paragon for fantastic warm weather, throughout the year. To my knowledge though, it's a hands down victory for the Algarve over mainland Spain, each and every time. Never overly hot, you have the calming ocean breeze to temper the 28 degrees centigrade that is provided by the Algarve's peak season, between July and August. It's still 15 degrees in January though, should you wish for a bit of winter warmth. So if it's the height of summer, or merely a reason for vacating Britain's bleak, long winters, The Algarve should be able to boost up your vim.

Brilliant Beaches

The Algarve has more than 30 Beaches. Each one with its own uniqueness. Its own sense of individuality. Some offer safe, good family times. Some offer fantastic sporting activities. Others offer the retreat that's needed for a little romancing. But there is one thing that these unique, wondrous shores have in common. That one thing is the sunshine. That, when put next to the good times and the relaxation, makes the Algarve a sure front-runner.

Great Golf

What would undoubtedly be, the greatest, relaxing accompaniment to an Algarve break? Undoubtedly that would be around of golf! Taking in the amazing scenery and high quality, manicured courses, is a fantastic way to soak up some of the Algarve's glorious weather. And just like the great choice of beaches, there's a great choice of courses. 19 in all. From the modest nine hole, for the novice, to the dizzy heights of the world famous Royal Course, the Algarve can suit everyone's golfing requirements. The abundance of top quality courses in the Algarve means you can be from the beach to the bag, in a matter of minutes!

Fantastic food

One of the simple, yet fantastic benefits to holidaying in the Algarve is the experience of eating in one of the local restaurants. This is typically at a modest price. Expect to pay between £8 - £10 pounds per person, for a meal with wine. You will be able to enjoy sampling the local ingredients that the Algarve has to offer. Typically seafood, in and around the coastal areas, and spicy chicken and pork at the more inland establishments. There are always those among us that tend not to deviate too far away from what Britain has to offer in the culinary stakes. Therefore the handful of places selling food for tourists will come in handy. So there is absolutely no need to worry about your stomach becoming homesick. Not in the Algarve.

Captivating Culture

You want to take in a gallery or a museum? Find out a little bit about the Algarve's culture? There's plenty dotted around the region. Just like there's plenty of music, art, and drinks festivals, going on all year round. So don't think that all your going to get by way of culture, should you leave the beach, is a bullfight! Oh no. The Algarve has far more to offer than just that.

Noteworthy Nightlife

There is a tremendous degree of variance in the Algarve nightlife, and most certainly something for all people. There is a healthy divide between the hedonism of the club scene, and the more relaxed, cultural evening. The club scene is very much punctuated by Albufeira. A place where you can party into the small hours, and really go to town. Packed with nightclubs and bars, it is frequented by British and German tourists alike. Not as renowned perhaps, as Ibiza, the Algarve club scene is still awash with late nights and high times.

A night of Algarve culture is pretty much the alternative to this. If a good evening for you is a relaxing, quiet dinner, followed by some light entertainment, then you can have that. Taking in some live Fado folk music as you wash down some splendid seafood, with some equally splendid wine.

This really is merely the tip of the Algarve iceberg. It's the type of place that has so many plus sides that it would be easy to go on forever. The best thing to do is book your next holiday to the Algarve, and sample its delights for yourself. It needn't cost a fortune. Package holidays to the Algarve are cheap!
