Most cell phone plans will require a minimum one year commitment which means you can not change cell phone carriers until after one year has elapsed into the contract. Some carriers, however, require and even greater commitment of two years. If you have really good pricing, this may be acceptable to you. However, if you ever decide the service is not as it should be an want to change your provider, you will have to pay a hefty fee. If you refuse to pay it, it will show as a negative on your credit report.
You should compare cell phone plans from all the major cell phone carriers. Most will have a brand of cell phone that will work for you and suit your needs but you will also need to choose the plan that is best suited to you also.
