Have you bought a navigation gizmo for your car or a PDA maybe or perhaps some other kind of hand held computer, mobile phone or other communications device that you want to use in the car? They’re great aren’t they? The only thing is how are you going to use it in the car when you’re on the move? You can’t use a hand held phone while you’re driving because that’s illegal as well as dangerous. A navigator’s not much help if it’s not mounted where you can see its screen at a glance, and it’s the same with any of the other gadgets.

Once it’s all fitted you have an in-car mounting that holds your device firmly in just the right place and that lets you slip it out to take with you whenever you leave the vehicle.

All the electronic gadgets that you carry around like this have one thing in common. Being portable they rely on batteries to work. That usually means rechargeable batteries so you need a means of keeping them charged up.
