Shampoo Bar Soaps Put Smiles On Soldiers Faces!
By Alyice Edrich
Illinois business owner, Lynnel Camling of Handcrafted Country Soaps
(http://handcraftedcountrysoaps.com) shows US Troops their sacrifices
matter by showering them with handcrafted patriotic soaps.
Handcrafted Country Soapsùa quality handmade soap businessùfreely
distributes red, white, and blueberry soaps (known as "Patriotic"
soaps), "Land of Freesia" soaps (recognizing the USA as the land of
the free), and over 98 other types of soaps to the Navy Pierùin
Chicago, Illinois.
The "Patriotic" handcrafted soaps are offered free-of-charge and
placed in several "Morale Kits," then distributed to servicemen and
women from the USO office at the Chicago, Illinois Navy Pier.
When asked why she decided to do this, Camling says, "Not only am I
an `All American' woman, but I have family members who have fought
for our country in both the Vietnam and Korean wars. I believe it's
imperative for us, as citizens, to support those who fight for our
country."
"I was told of a story a friend had heard on the radio about a young
man who was making one of the greatest sacrifices a parent could makeù
to protect this great nation and our children, he would have to leave
his sick child behind. His newborn was born with heart complications
and in need of major surgery," she continues. "In the end, this
brave soldier chose to leave his son in the hands of God and fight
with his troopùin hopes that his newborn would survive and grow up in
a safe, free country. It is personal stories like this that make
supporting our troops an incredible honor and duty."
"I just received a package from the USO and found your soap. Thank
you very much for the generous gift. Although I'm on stateside duty,
having a soap that is also a shampoo (not that we have much hair
anyway) is a nicety that is uncommon for field work," says one
soldier who recently received his bar of soap.
Handcrafted Country Soaps offers affordable, quality, hand-stirred,
hand-poured, hand-swirled, hand-cut, hand-wrapped soaps with
expensive specialty oils and exotic butters! Every bar comes with a
natural antibacterial ingredient and all natural herbs.
You, too, can help support our troops: start a penpal campaign and
write a letter; gather travel-size toiletries and package them in a
backpack; send bottled water; prepare a hot mail for families of
soldiers stationed far from their parents; or buy christmas presents
for their children.
