The title might be confusing, but I am going to explain exactly what I mean. Last week I spoke about building relationships and mentioned this week I would be talking about marketing and are you marketing the correct thing. Let me jump right into it.

I think it is wonderful if you have a product or service that you feel everyone could benefit from and that is what you are probably told to market. That's great for the company's product you are marketing. Let me ask you this question before I go further. What if that company goes out of business...what will happen to all of your marketing efforts. If you truly believe in network marketing and believe that it will give you the avenue to achieve the level of success you are trying to obtain then you will press forward. That would mean going to another company and starting the process all over again.

Now what if you market yourself. You are probably asking yourself what does that have to do with anything. If you market yourself and show others what you have to offer via knowledge and a willingness to share that knowledge to help others then you are builing that relationship I mentioned in last weeks blog. By building relationships, you are building trust. If people trust you don't you think one day they might eventually want to do business with you or use your particular product or service. See how neatly this all ties in. It is like the missing piece to the puzzle.

The final piece to the puzzle is by marketing yourself you separate yourself from everyone else out there who are only pushing a product at someone. What if your current company goes out of business and you have built relationships and promoted yourself in a manner that others want to do business with you you can go to another company and "possibly" bring others along with you. This will never happen if the only thing you ever market is a company.
