This was my 44th birthday party. That’s when I heard my name being called “loudly” from the hallway. That hallway housed the small bathroom that all our guests would use, the wash room.
Oh no, I thought, that’s ant Gwen, I would know her voice anywhere. She was splashing here way out of the wash room. Oh dear, “you toilets is overflowing” she said. “Lucky you own a water damage restoration company”, you got to love her. Just what I wanted to hear on my big day, go to work.
Well the truth is; it was my fault. You see my wife had put the toilet on my list of things to fix around the house. She’s very helpful that way. And, you know me it was still on my list, come my birthday.
With no equipment at the house, I ran up to the office and grabbed a truck. A quick extraction, some disinfectant a fan and I’m back to the celebration. After changing my clothes and taking a shower of course.
As I walked back into the living room, Ant Gwen gave me a smile, you got to love her.
Remember, if your wife puts something on your list, just do it. Maybe then you can stay out of the wash house on your birthday.
