As with any metal, if you have hard water water with a high mineral content we do not recommend using a dishwasher, as elements that may be present in the water could possibly discolor or cause pitting of you pewter. Match Stemware and Barware should only be washed by hand, and should not be presoaked in hot water as a prelude to hand washing.
